Are you still out there?
Not sure if anyone is still checking my blog but ... I am still here in Belize :)
I know it has been more than a long time since I have blogged and I don't really have an excuse other than the usual...been too busy. But as I am stuck indoors due to the lovely tropical storms Alma AND Arthur hitting us at the same time, I really don't have any other excuses so here is a brief update of the past ummm....three months!
February, where I left off, was a great month as my mom and Rayne were here and we had a great time. I can still hear Rayne saying every morning as she woke up "Aunty, I can't believe I touched a snake, a chicken, a lizard...etc etc" She made quite an impression on the local kids here and they still ask for her and needless to say...we all miss her...and my mom too of course :)

March was a very crazy month as it is one of our busiest! To add to that stress, Omar became very sick one day with what we thought was an apendicitis. Turned out to be a massive tumour in his colon and he had to have a large part of his intestine removed! We were very lucky though as the tumour was about ready to burst and the doctor said a few more hours could have been fatal. After a week in the hospital he was released and still recovering but much better now! The whole ordeal was very scary and stressful especially when after a week, I was told the surgeon went on vacation and forgot to send away the tumour to have it analyzed. It had been sitting there the entire week so they sent Omar home with me along with his tumour so that I could take it to the lab myself...only in Belize. Seems funny now but at the time, not so much. Anyway, it turned out to NOT be cancer which was a big relief of course.
Also during the hospital time, I had a very nice and needed visit from Betty, Christine & Sandy. Although I wasn't all 'here' while they were here, they were a great help for me as I definitely needed their support and love....miss u girls!
April & May involved working, biking, and a little time off here and there. Here are just a few pictures of the goings-on over the past few months.

A day of devastation here at Banana Bank as we watched one of our cowboy's homes burn to the ground in a matter of minutes....very sad but thanks to everyone for their donations of clothes, money, etc...
So...we are still here and all fine aside from the crazy rain caused by Alma & Arthur..but we did need rain so can't complain too much.
I hope all is well with all of you wherever you are.
